I walked into MCEMS station #23 one morning, just another day, we cleaned and checked off the Ambulance, got our station clean and got ready for what ever the day brought.... or we thought anyway! Our phone starting ringing, radio traffic was "different" and then we saw it! What had started as another, normal day in the neighborhood, had by all means changed everything we did and would do, FOREVER! Our Country was being attacked and peoples lives were lost to the biggest bunch of cowards that ever lived! Our daily security was lost! "Lock everything down" was the first order we got... I was told to place the gun I always carried in my truck, on board the ambulance and to be prepared to use it!..... Some say that time heals all wounds...... It might, but not yet! May God Bless the U.S.A.!!!
