I wanna talk about a hot button issue. Something that few have the courage to do. I think thats why some resent me. The word Drama and its use in this fandom. Lets take a look at where and how it is used and you tell me if its right or fair. The definition is 1 a : a composition in verse or prose intended to portray life or character or to tell a story usually involving conflicts and emotions through action and dialogue and typically designed for theatrical performance : play — compare closet drama b : a movie or television production with characteristics (as conflict) of a serious play; broadly : a play, movie, or television production with a serious tone or subject 2 : dramatic art, literature, or affairs 3 a : a state, situation, or series of events involving interesting or intense conflict of forces b : dramatic state, effect, or quality . In short, its emotion. Unless you are feeling them yourself, its not as real to a person, but it exists. So, are we allowed to express emotion? ANy fair person should say yes and not dismiss them. We are human and humans feel. So, because drama is seen as a no-no here in the fandom, because it makes the person inflicting harm look bad, think about how fair it is to use it, to get the upper hand of a discussion. I think wed be better off banning that word. As a sensitive and sometimes emotional person, it makes me feel I have to hide or apologise for being human. Is it fair to ask someone to cease being who they are? Not at all. Now if someone expresses a undesirable emotion here on Facebook, you always have the option of ignoring it and moving on, or you can cry drama because you feel bad. That kinda makes you look like you care for yourself more than the one who is hurt, but nobody needs to know if you just refuse to comment. I think there in lies the reason for so much mental illness. Holding it in because someone doesnt wanna hear it. this status is not directed at one person. It is directed at anyone who cried DRAMA. SHouldnt we have compassion for our fellow human beings? Absolutely! I said my bit. Thanks for giving it some mature thought, without jumping out at me. People are often angered when they are reminded of some truth they do not want to admit to. Therefore, if this status doesnt apply to you, you should be fine. HUGZ and
