I want Colorado to OPT OUT of the common core too! It is a travesty on the educational systems behalf to pigeonhole kids learning this way. Every child is unique and different techniques are needed. Trying to force everyone to learn the same way is setting up children for failure. Your basically saying do it this way or your not good enough. Is that really the message to send? How about instead we dedicate more resources to schools and teachers, funding for further education to teachers so they are also learning fresh new techniques and technology, smaller classes or an aid at least to help.
