I want everyone to know what a terrific family and friends I have. I have been sick for over two months now but have ignored it and have been working the whole time. It came to a head Sunday while I was at work and realized I was too weak to travel up north to see my brother who is on life support, which is what I have been looking forward to for three months now. Monday I saw the doctor and yesterday I had surgery. My best friend in NY, Karen, sent me beautiful flowers and my only close friend here, Julie, took me to the hospital, stayed with me and brought me home. Every single person in my family has called to see how I was doing and my mama, dad, sister and brother in law are driving down to see me Sunday. For all of you who have families and good friends, take a moment and let them know how grateful you are to have them in your life. I know I am blessed by mine.
