I want some Middle School reading list suggestions. Before getting overloaded by looking at lists..What do you remember as worthwhile assigned books from 6,7,and 8th grade? I remember To Kill a Mockingbird and Cry the Beloved Country from school.Independently remember reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency Series by Douglas Adams, The Land of Dreamy Dreams, a collection of short stories by Ellen Gilchrest, Oral History and Black Mountain Breakdown by Lee Smith, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.
