I want to Thank everyone who prayed, had their prayer circles pray, sent best wishes and positive thoughts my way the last several weeks. Probably 4 years ago I began having liver problems. 2 years ago I was finally diagnosed with a rare liver disease which is an auto-immune disorder like lupus or MS. No cure other than a transplant if and when my numbers rose to a level acceptable to qualify for listing. They did and 35 days later, this last Tuesday I got the call @ 8:20 am. By 9:30 I was at Mayo. Surgery started around 5:30 & I was in my room @ 11:00 pm. Up at 8:00 am on Wednesday & immediately went for an 1/8th mile walk with a walker and a nursing assistant watching me. Thursday was 3/4th of a mile and Friday was an unassisted 1 mile, 3 days after surgery. I was supposed to go home yesterday, but Mayo elected to hold me over for evaluation due to the speed of my recovery. Its been a real surreal experience and week and it certainly helped knowing that many of you were praying for me without knowing why.
