I want to apologize to anyone whose news feed I have tied up with ongoing arguments over economics, politics, race, or anything else. I really prefer not to argue, but to have civil discussions with the goal of developing solutions to the problems we face as a society. In order to help with that, I am asking everyone who really wants to debate me - be prepared to provide: 1. Logical arguments with logical reasoning. 2. A desire to find solutions. 3. SOURCES - and yes they will be fact checked and scrutinized. 4. The ability to discern between an opinion and fact. 5. The ability to calmly discuss something without getting emotionally involved. 6. An understanding that I will agree at times and am very willing to compromise, and I do expect others to seek compromise. However if you violate those six items - be prepared - as I will not ever give up and will respond to any comments you make. At times I will be condescending, and may mock you and even use sarcasm. I will do my best to not call you names but I will clearly describe your behavior for what it is, and if you keep going even after logic has failed you and you cannot provide sources, and you refuse to compromise reasonably - then I may also call you names and change the topic of discussion from whatever the debate was to how you can possibly make it through life without using logic and reason and without accepting reality... That is fair warning... Now for those of you who are innocent victims and have had your news feed hijacked - you have my sincerest apologies and hopefully this post will limit that from happening again.... Thank you for understanding...
