I want to be honest about something, not just to my friends and family, but also to myself. It may surprise some of you, but not to those who know me, like my daughter and a few others who know me well, I hate to read. I really do not like to read, never have liked to read. The most I have ever read in my life is when I started reading the facebook page. Well let me move on to why I am writing this note to all who will read. I went to bed last night, and before I went to sleep, I talked to the Lord for a little while, mentioning all my loved ones in prayer, then on to what plans I have for the holidays. And then I confessed to Him, how it is, that I hate to read, some of you who do not really believe in God might say I am crazy, but you, who do know God, you will not have a problem believing me, but I am telling you the truth! After my lengthy conversation which went like this, one sided mind you, I said, God you know I really hate to read, I know that I am to study your word to learn your ways, and to walk the way in the paths you made for me, but can you and I just have a relationship (and I was serious while I was talking with Him),and I said, I know that You spoke to people before, like Adam, Noah, Enoch, Abraham, Paul and John, and many others. Then I said could we have that kind of relationship, could I just go ahead and speak to you and you just talk to me like this right now the way we are talking, still a one sided conversation now, then I guess I fell asleep, without a word from Him. So I had one of the best nights sleep in a very long time. When I woke up, I heard a voice in my mind repeating over and over, saying Thy word is a light upon my feet, so I guess He was telling me TO READ HIS WORD, what would you think? So I got up and found the scripture 119;105, Which READS, Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. So I guess you might think I am crazy, but I believe He spoke to me! and He told me to READ HIS WORD. AMEN So what do you my friends think of this? I would really like to have your opinion, believe me or not? Have you ever talked to God and got an answer this quickly?
