I want to blab about everything that Ive witnessed in the past few days. But sometimes, being still (in God) takes greater strength—and this is something I want to learn more about. I stand firm behind my boss, Commissioner and Philippines chief climate negotiator Naderev Yeb Saño. Because I definitely know that my country is in desperate need of a leader that still has a soul. What we do is not just work, it is God-placed passion that we work very hard to carry out. If Saño is being reprimanded for his use of emotion in the diplomatic process, it makes little sense in the context of the climate talks, which have stretched back more than two decades. His may have been the most sympathetic outpouring in the history of the negotiations, however.
