I want to bounce this off this group. Someone posted the article Im posting here. I asked a question, but of course got vague and weird answers. I am definitely not a scientist. So while I understand the basics of the science behind genetically engineered products, I am not good at explaining it to others. Can you suggest a site with very basic explanations of what GMOs are and how they are produced? I saw a site for kids, but thought that might be too insulting. :) Below is a bit of the conversation. The second person didnt give an answer, just did kind of a little advertisement for herself. Me: Every time I ask someone why they object to GMOs, they cant really tell me. TJ: I will tell you! When I buy corn at the local elevator that sell feed. That I feed my chickens with. The chickens will go for over 5 days before they just eat it. Then their eggs are so huge that it kills the Hen. Oh did I mention anything good? Oh your farmer has to work less and make more money selling Toxic grain they grow! Its killing the Bees that we depend on for our food! DR: Before I knew anything about Monsanto and their connection to Roundup, I used Roundup on the garden in front of my house. That was 2008, Now I host a NO-GMO, ORGANIC, FOOD COOPERATIVE LANCASTER FARM FRESH. Local organic farmers who are forced to file suite against Monsanto.
