I want to close the evening with a very positive note. The American Sign Language class that I am attending each week here on the island is a true eye-opener to the challenges that meet the members of the deaf community. The class is conducted by a truly wonderful man who is an excellent teacher, extremely intelligent instructor, and an excellent communicator in both ASL and language and lip-reading. Danny is deaf and he is the best instructor anyone could hope for. I am learning so much and it will serve a purpose some day when I need to know how to sign. What a wonderful experience!
