I want to dedicate this cover of XO by Beyoncè to my wife Melissa Knox Johnson - yesterday was her birthday, and she spent it taking care of me selflessly after my brain surgery. She looked at me like I was crazy when she walked in on this song a few minutes ago - because she knows my hands and feet are numb, Im nauseous and my head feels like its in a vice from the swelling in my brain. Understand this people - nothing worth doing in life is easy. Take risks, fight comfort for the sake of love. This is a small gesture to a woman who has given her body over and over for the sake of love in bearing our 3 beautiful children. I havent even deserved that level of devotion - but still she gives it. I will try harder to be deserving. A better father, a better husband. Fight for love - even if you have to fight yourself.
