I want to do my a Thankful thing right this second. Its going to sound weird. I am very thankful to be able to experience being downright poor. I never had much, I now have practically nothing. (Roof over my head, food, dogs...no complaints). My getting sick destroyed any possibility of a financially safe future. It destroyed my ability to work as hard as I want to, it destroyed any credit I had when my insurance lapsed and my biopsy and rejection was left with no way to pay, I really have no financial future. Tim worked so hard, my dad helped when he could, some of YOU helped with fundraising and donating for those med bills (Ill never forget)....we made it through, but to what? We made it to this......PURE 100% BROKE. (Just like a lot of you that try) No, I dont have Credit Cards to rely on, I dont have a fancy new car I can sell, I dont have any secret stash of Grandmas money. I have zero. Negative even. WHAT I DO HAVE is friends, other broke-ass people who look out for each other. What? You need Firewood? YES, I will give you firewood. Now, I have firewood. They need something that I actually have and dont need?? Now, they will have that. Helping each other...whether you have something to trade or you can help them back in another way, is what us poor people have in common. It brings us together. I think what those who have things dont realize is that we band together, its a feeling of solidarity, its Us helping each other get through the worst of times. I want my friends to know, that if there ever is ANYTHING I have the ability, skill, brains to help you with. Reach out, I always got your back. Thank you Ruth Sasala, you guys truly helped me out. So cool. Thank you.
