I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of my dear friend Nancy Benedetto who passed away this morning. The following press release provides details. CRESTWOOD - Longtime Village of Crestwood Clerk, Nancy Benedetto passed away Thursday morning, August 22, 2013, surrounded by family at her home in Crestwood. Mayor Lou Presta said that he met Nancy 24 years ago when he began service to the community as a Village Zoning Board Commissioner. “Nancy was always extremely helpful to me,” Presta said. “I was impressed from the moment I met her by the depth of knowledge she had for Village administration and the level of commitment she held for the residents of Crestwood”. Nancy moved to Crestwood in 1959 settling into the Playfield subdivision.
