I want to first take a moment to thank God for all the blessings he has and continues to bestow on my family...we are a crazy and often times disfunctional bunch but you grace us with your love regardless!! As most of you may or may not know my brother, Terrell, had his sentencing hearing yesterday at 3pm. The courtroom was filled with emotion and tears, but through it all I could only smile at my brother! I mean no disrespect to the family of Dwante Patterson, I only mean to say that I have seen my brother grow so much in these past 3 years. I have seen him sincerely apologize for his actions and take in the crushing words from the victims family with humility. I dont want to say this is the best thing to have happened to him, because a life was lost in the process, but I can say he has grown from this tragic experience and become a better man...a wiser man. The judge had the choice of 10-13 years and he gave Terrell 10.5....with time served that will be about 7.5-8. This was a blessings and we thank the judge and Terrells lawyer, James Randolph, for all the hard work he put into this case. I wish nothing but peace and strength to Mr. Pattersons family.
