I want to follow up on the post I made about Northaven members showing up over the weekend. This weekend, a beloved member found herself in a bind...moving out of one house and into another. Since her husband has died this past year, she was sort of on her own. A few of our members put out an SOS call Saturday morning, and we spread the word for volunteers to come and help her. By my estimation, several dozen folks pitched in Saturday and especially yesterday afternoon. It was a beautiful thing to see, and an incarnational example, in the waning days of this Christmas season, of what church is supposed to be about. Grateful to all of you who pitched in....thanks again.
