I want to get the house cleaned tomorrow before I go to work, but - TopicsExpress

I want to get the house cleaned tomorrow before I go to work, but I want to get these kids outside, away from the electronics to blow the stink off of them. I have a question for my 40-Something friends, when we were kids we didnt have to be forced outside, did we? My children use that excuse that its generational, but if you look at a timeline we had EVERY reason to stay inside. We had greatness, we were at the forefront of the invention of the at home video game console: The Atari, Nintendo and the Sega Genesis, all followed by variations of themselves. We werent deprived of attention draining video games, we had them. Not only did we have video games but we had Saturday morning cartoons a smorgasbord of mind numbingly, entertaining and mildly violent cartoons. My children act like going outside is some sort of deranged punishment. On the weekend I was ready to rush to the level streets of my Nanas town to skateboard and ride my bicycle. I combed the sandy shores of the Delaware river looking for treasures, some things never change, although these days I have expensive toys that I take with me. My children are taken outside and they act like agoraphobics being forced out of the asylum. Tomorrow I think Id bundle the little buggers up and take them to my favorite urban oasis, Heinz Wildlife. Imagine if I took this kids hiking? Where the outdoors were their bathroom and dinner was caught in a stream. Where they carried EVERYTHING on their backs for miles and then slept under a blanket of stars. That might be a threat. They both would probably explode. In closing, Is it possible, to be addicted to technology?
