I want to give a HUGE shout out to my nephew Doug McCrady for going to bat for Anna & everyone affected by FA by getting the Rocky Mountain Bird & Birdies Clay Shoot & Golf Tournament officials to choose the Friedreich Ataxia Research Alliance as their charity this year. Doug & his colleague, Tammy Anderson, organized a first class event. They found two $5,000 sponsors, recruited 38 teams, raffled a shotgun, found a professional long driver to hit for more donations, and fed everyone steaks & beer. Everyone got the royal treatment, but especially us. Doug picked us up at the airport, hauled wheelchairs and walkers in his truck, fed us bison burgers and even supplied us with a rental car to explore the Rockies on Saturday. We love you so much, Doug. Thank you for all youve done for Anna and all the people affected by FA. A big THANK YOU goes to Kyle Bryant for his heartwarming speech and all he does for the FA community every day. This man means so much to the Gordon family. Hes where we find our energy and motivation to keep moving forward. Kyle, Anna Gordon & fellow FAer, Harley Shepherd & her mom, Christy, were in the hot sun all day telling the story over and over. This type of teamwork will get us to the CURE even faster while their is still time for Kyle, Harley & Anna. I took lots of pictures to post when I get home to my computer but I could not wait any longer for this thank you post. Together, we netted over $35,000 for research for the CURE. Take that FA!
