I want to give a special thanks to Micheal Dore for making it possible for my son Matt and me to go onto RAF Welford. The times have changed and almost all the buildings are gone but the spirt of Welford lives on! The exhibits that Michael and the other volunteers work on are fantastic! It spans all decades at Welford and Greenham. And I have to give a special thank you to Sid! He works along with Michael and is very informative and passionate about the history with the artifacts! Very interesting and comical, I could sit with him in a pub for hours listening to Sid! The only us personnel on base are Ammo troops and they were even kind enough to escort me into the bomb dump something I never would have dreamed possible! I was nice to see younger versions of me carrying on the Welford torch! IFYAAYAS!
