I want to give my facebook family and friends (for those of you who know the many issues I have) an update on my neck. At my three month follow up MRI, it has shown that the osteophytes and the herniated/bulging disk at C6-C7 has gotten much worse. The neurosurgeon said surgery is necessary. So two months from today, September 9th, I will be having surgery. The surgery is a C6-7 anterior partial corpectomy, discectomy, fusion, allograft with plate which is needed to relieve the pressure on my spinal cord. I will have to spend one night (hopefully only one) and will be out of commission for at least two to three months from the surgery. I know it is early but can you please keep me in your prayers. I will give you more detailed information as it gets closer to September 9th.
