I want to give several shout outs for the last few days. I had such grand plans for my birthday a year ago, Portland wine trip and all. Then as our moving dates were shifted and messed with, I realized I couldnt have that. I definitely did not expect to be in Pensacola for my birthday, with all the great friends Ive made here, and expected to be somewhere new with only my partner to share it with. So being here, sort of last minute, I didnt really have any expectations. I am SO SO SO SO SO GRATEFUL for you all who showed up or sent your love over the last few days. Thank you Barbara for everything you do for me. Thank you Meagan for our ladys day!!! I rarely have those, and I was so psyched to have one with you! Thank you Aron and Erin for letting me crash in your guest room, and staging us after the hash (because you have to wash dried chocolate syrup and sprinkles off SOMEWHERE!). I love your company, and cant thank you enough for everything. Thank you Spankme for heading over from NOLA for our shenanigans!!! Danielle it was so cool meeting you before our birthday and celebrating it together. The picture of us caked will forever have a special place. Thank you to everyone who came to downtown to celebrate (and look faaaaaaabulous!!!!). It truly was the best birthday I could have asked for, and I know I could NOT have planned any of that myself. Most of all, thank you to my wonderful, beautiful partner, Justin, who has been trying to give me this party for weeks. Even though birthdays are just a day to him he knows they are important to me; and this milestone was really important to me. I am so grateful to have a partner who will go through the lengths he did to surprise me, and get me a cake (a cake!!! I had a beautiful birthday cake by Oh Snap!!! Well be savouring it for the next year by keeping it in the freezer. ;p) He schemed with everyone we know to make this a GREAT weekend for me, and he succeeded and it almost makes my heart stop working from being overwhelmed.
