I want to honor a dear lady I met in Dover De. She was a member of MAranatha Memorial Baptist where I met the Lord. Mrs. Edith Henderson was in her 70s at the time. She would come to church even when she felt bad enough to where she had to lie on the pew. At first, I thought coming to AM and PM service was enough and I used the excuse that Sunday was my only day to sleep in. After seeing her lying on the pew for a few Sundays, the young buck of 22 could not justify that excuse anymore. I was there everytime the door swung open. She was an inspiration. When I went off to Bible College she would send me a $6 check from time to time. A lot of money for her being on SS. The perfect amount for me as it always seem to arrive about three days before payday and we were short food for the kids lunch. It was enough for bread, milk and some cheese and meat. She went from inspiration to blessing. When she passed, I lost an inspiration, a blessing and a prayer warrior. She was a great lady!
