I want to lay some poetry on you. To date Ive had three works properly published and Im looking for feedback. Please tell me what you think. IT CAME FROM CATHERINES EYES It’s been the sum of many years, almost to this day, That I packed inside my mind somewhere, some memories away. These memories haunt my spirit and have never let me go, that instant when I learned true love, deals the saddest blow. It took but one split second as I looked into her eye, her look that asked for answers, but I had no reply. Within that fleeting moment there was nothing I could say. There’s no retreat from her world, where colour had turned grey. But in that timeless moment, from her eyes, into my mind, came a message from the numbness, of being left behind. She’d descended beneath the agony, that had totally devoured, and immersed her in an anguish, that could not be overpowered. But in her faithful heart and forever be entwined, are words her love had spoken, and in both their hearts enshrined. A never forgotten moment, of a forever captured time, her memories of the past gone by, when they were in their prime. These thoughts are what I saw that day, they came through Catherines eyes. When love mixed with her loneliness, the day her husband died.
