I want to make something very clear. It was never my intention to anger anyone regarding my dress code post only to make parents aware of how they come across when they are angry because their child was reprimanded due to not following the dress code. My post regarding school uniforms was not in response to any post made my PSD parents, but rather a parent from my home town. Although it applies to all. I apparently have been "unfriended" because of my post by parents whose children are in the PSD school district. In MY opinion this just confirmed their level of maturity. I do not agree with removing a child from a full day of educational time because of dress code violations, but when I singed my paperwork for my child to attend PHS, I agreed to the terms of the handbook! If it is an accidental untucked shirt, then that is different. I have seen a lot of comments regarding teachers being "fashion police" and not teaching.. HOWEVER, if the parents would make sure that their child is in dress code before they get to school, then they would not have to be concerned with what your child is wearing and not the part of their job that requires them to make sure YOUR child is within the guidelines... see page 32 of the student hand book if you need help understanding.. better yet, read pages 32-38 of the student handbook you as a parent were supposed to read and sign that you understand before you go blaming the teachers for doing YOUR job. Now, since those of you who I previously "offended" with my initial post need something additional to talk about.. HAVE FUN.. for the rest of you.. have a great weekend!
