I want to praise God for carrying us through a nightmarish week to a happy ending. Sunday night, our computer wouldnt turn on. Figuring our dying battery had died to the point of uselessness even when plugged in, we had a new battery overnighted to us. When Rob installed the battery, he got a message that the hard drive was corrupted. After an emergency trip to Knoxville, the hard drive was restored, but our backed-up data was too corrupted for them to recover. At first we werent overly concerned because we had double backed up our active projects. Then when we went to get the photos for our big book project we were working on, one backup was incomplete, the other was non-existant. I was panicked about disappointing the people (many of them friends) who were waiting on our book. I texted a friend to pray for us, and Kody put in a prayer request at GCA. Last night, Rob ran a corruption-repairing program and it recovered 60 gigs worth of pictures, including, apparently, the pictures we desperately needed. Praise God!
