I want to put out a plea as we enter into 2015. What I would like to see as we go into in 2015 from the Apostolic Prophetic division is for us to spend our time on the forum sharing about what our division actually stands for and teach rather than knocking everyone elses position and teaching. We spend absolutely too much time being critical and not enough time sharing what the whole counsel of God really is. Also in every earthly position applied for a resume is required stating your background, experience, education, training, apprenticeship, etc… I suggest before we give our opinions we need to share our qualifications to give such opinions. I was having a holiday dinner at my spiritual fathers house and there was someone at the table who seemed to have an opinion about every theological position anyone had. He was very critical and called himself Dr. so and so. I saw right through him, and I asked, by the way which university or college did you gradate from? What degree did you receive when you matriculated? Just how long have you been in this way? Suddenly you saw all of the hope air come right out of his fruitless dialog. He had never been to anyones college or university. He did not possess a extensive body of work to even have been given an honorary degree, not to mention a doctorate. Yet he is Dr. so and so. I then told him to stop playing a fake Doctor of Theology, and put in the work, then come back to take table, for you are out of character amongst generals. I remember when Pentecostal folks were critical of mainline folks who put the work in and received their doctorate degrees, and other areas of education, (I have been in this for 43 years, so I have seen it all). But today the new fad in the Body of Christ is we are not longer Apostles and Prophets, but now we are Dr. so and so… This is ok if you have the work put in and you are fruitfully qualified. But all too often it is just another title grab. To all of the internet preachers with no real body of work to support your unqualified opinions I suggest being slow to share, and quick to listen and learn. I am hitting the reset button here and requesting lets stick with the vision and mission given by Apostle James Jim Becton. I challenge all to seriously consider this and set a different tenor for 2015. Apostle Jim was given this forum not as a bootcamp for hand-grenade target practice or as a land-mine training course, but for Fathers to sharpen iron to learn from each other, while sons and daughters listen in grow and learn from the fathers perspective. Anyone found trying to sabotage that mission will feel several of the seasoned fathers on this forum protecting the river that flows through this forum so that it will not be spoiled for others. I began this journey as a Prophet for 20 years and I have never been shy about calling a spade and spade. I am requesting ALL going forward to stick with the mission Apostle Jim has more than one time had to reiterate. I have been on several forums in the past and left them for it was not Apostolic at all, but was full of people from pass movements with hurt, dysfunction, who carried a spirit of sabotage. Seemingly their mission was to argue, debate, and talk about everything but advancing the Apostolic. I am determined to see to it that this forum stays the course and sticks to its original vision and mission. With that said, ALL are welcome to weigh in and share as long as it is in the vein of the shared vision and mission. God bless and from my family to your have a blessed and a happy New Year.
