I want to say something and i welcome others opinion on this. The question of does wearing a hood make u look menacing or suspect... The answer is yeah, hell yeah. And i think if we are to have Honest discourse about this trayvon issue, then we have to at least admit that much to ourselves. I see pics of folks all over now with hoods.. well if i already know u and , and can see your face.. or if your only an image on fb then naw. u dont scare me.. but think about it folks..the Klan wheres hood for a reason, anytime u cant really see someones face its natural for suspicions to arise. But that does not have anything to do with a grown man stalking a kid, and shooting him. Zimmerman let his own demons out the cage on that one. But lets just take what has become the iconic symbol for the case with black foks.. the hood. Wearing a hood, can def give u a menacing apperance when covering your face... now for all we know the boy didnt even have the hoodie up... but either way, how many old ladies have grabbed there purse cause they saw me walking towards them.. i could have been shot 5000 times by now if all it takes is to give rise to a little suspicion. There are criminals and bad guys in every culture, current media dissporportionately depicts blacks as criminals etc etc, we all know this, Clearly the law is not our friend. and it never has been. folks have ALWAYS gotten away with killing black folks.. And yes its all WRONG and FOUL and horrbly UNFAIR, but at the end of the day.. if you hinge your theory of why this case is foul based upon its rediculous to see a black person in a hood and get nervous your gonna loose the vote outside of black folks . .. if someone with a certain swag is following behind me with a hood, on im watching him.. shoot if he dont have a hood on im watching him... as someone who was once robbed by 3 fat black kids in hoods, lol . ( damn i forgot about that) you dont wanna forget that if somebody else is hungry anyone can be a target.. So all you folks wearing hoodies out of context as though hood wear makes u look nice and calm and like a sweet citizen .. uh uh.. when we throw on the hoodie , the baggie jeans the timbs ,, the mission usually is to look tough , to appear to be a threat... If your gonna follow the drug dealer dress code . yeah u might get mistaken for someone less then savory .. be you black white whatever... This is NOT a Zimmerman justification, but i think the hoodie is the wrong battle, we should probably be telling folks to give the hoodie a rest. what are your thoughts?
