I want to say that I am glad Chris family finally gets some justice. This at least is not an unsolved case. We need to hope that the Justice System will work the way it should to bring the person or persons involved, unfortunately, it doesnt always work the way we would like. Lena mentioned it earlier that it is important for this page to remain about the memory of Chris P and what he meant to many people in the community. My parents treated Chris like their son so hed been part of our family for many years. Over the years, we watched Chris make choices to help people who would take advantage of him. His murder was senseless, but it happened. As angry as everyone may be feeling, its important to remember that the murderers family members are still within this community and they did not commit the crime. This was Matts choice and he will be convicted through our justice system. His family members are affected by this tragedy to and we need to be sensitive to that. I am horrible with names, but we had a speaker come into our community who talked about being the family member of the murderer. She talks about how difficult for the family. They go threw the grief of losing their spouse, brother, nephew and the parents and grandparents need to come to grips with that as well. Chris always gave people chances. I am not saying that Matt deserves any chances, but his family and friends do. His family deserves us to be understanding and compassionate with what they are going through as well. May you RIP Chris P. I will always remember the first time you actually talked to me because you were so nervous in High School and would just laugh when I would say hello. BTW dads trailer finally hit the biscuit, only my family would understand that one (hahaha).
