I want to share my about me section again...I try to periodically share it because I know people dont normally go into all of the sections to read about who they have friended. I try to share everything about myself and I dont have a closed page so anyone can look at whatever they want to. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! *PLEASE ASK AND GET PERMISSION BEFORE SHARING ANY OF MY PERSONAL PHOTOS* Hello! My name is Rebecca Tomlinson (Rebecca Lowe-Tomlinson on FB). This is a page that I have started for my Danes. I am only a hobby breeder. At the moment we have our Cherokee Phoenix, a silver (dilute) merle that is ACA registered and has been health/OFA hip certified and our Cherokee Outlaw, CGC, a blue brindle mantle that is double registered AKC/ACA. He has begun health testing and has had his hip x-rays read by a radiologist as good. He is now neutered, after this last breeding. All puppies will be registered with the ACA (American Canine Association) which is a vet/health registry. I am excited to be able to contribute to the health and temperament of the Dane world. I do understand that there is a standard in the Great Dane color, but I am a lover of all colors as long as health & temperament are taken into consideration before breeding. I will be breeding in hopes of continuing with therapy dogs, as we had begun with Outlaw. He and I became a therapy team through Therapy Dogs, Inc and did therapy work all through 2013, though through the beginning of this year we are taking a break. With our first litter of puppies we kept 3 babies: Cherokee Rose (who will not be breeding) is our blue fawn female, Cherokee Flame (who will not be breeding) is a blue brindle merle, and Malykih (who will not be breeding) is a brindle merle. I hope anyone that is my Facebook friend will be considerate of what my goal is of bettering peoples knowledge of Great Danes, whether they be standard or splashy, and their health. This page is for the love of my Danes. :-) PLEASE ASK AND GET PERMISSION BEFORE SHARING ANY OF MY PERSONAL PHOTOS! Thank you :-) I focus first on breeding for the health and temperament of the Great Dane breed. I do breed for color and will not have color pure (only) lines. My Danes are my babies and as such are pets/family members before breeders. My pets (we own more than our Danes) do not leave my home at any age if they are mine. They are family, first and foremost. When retired they will remain in my home. They will not go to a new home just because my program changed and they are an extra mouth to feed. I will not own more than I can care for to ensure this. Puppies brought into the world by Cherokee Danes will be raised inside of my home with the interaction of my children and our other pets, including dogs and our cat, as well as myself. They will not be raised in a kennel setting outside of my home. That is not to say that they will have never been outside before coming to their new home. If you would be interested in a Cherokee Danes baby, please contact me through a private message or comment on my page. I do have an application that must be filled out (with your vet and references checked) before being able to be considered for a contract. All babies will ONLY be allowed to go to their new homes on a spay/neuter contract. My contract does include a 2 year congenital health guarantee with strict guidelines for the health of the puppy that would then be in your care. I also have a strict return policy. My babies are NOT to be rehomed for any reason. If for any reason you need to rehome your baby, they are to be returned to me. When babies are ready for their new homes you know they will come utd on vaccinations/wormings and be micro-chipped as well as come with a puppy packet that will include lots of extras including a toy & blanket with momma/littermates smell to try to make their transition as easy as possible. After careful consideration I have decided not to remove dewclaws. My babies will have gone through the ENS process, as it helps them neurologically and helps with their health. I will work on very basic obedience with them as well. I have little ones and know that jumping cannot be completely deterred, but we will try to keep them from this as much as possible before going to new homes as well... I will be available for any questions or concerns from day one. My cell, home & work number will be available to any new owners as well as my email address and FB...Im not going anywhere...
