I want to share with you what my symptoms were when I had a heart - TopicsExpress

I want to share with you what my symptoms were when I had a heart attack. For women it is much different from a mans symptoms. It is not like in the movies and is not like a man will experience. For women it is dubbed the silent killer due to the symptoms. To begin I didnt even know I had a heart attack and it occurred days before the ambulance ride when my body finally shut down completely. I went to work every day. All of these symptoms have been verified by a cardiologist I worked with in the hospital. Of course it is not an absolute that these are the result of an impending attack or an actual attack but certainly could be as was the case with me. Women please read and men please share with your loved ones. I would never ever (and didnt) put these together as anything as serious as it was. According to the cardiologist it can also easily be misdiagnosed initially because of the symptoms even if you do go to the Dr unlike me because of them. So if you dont quickly feel better with meds or remedies they give you, please press on for more tests etc nausea extreme fatigue mild (to me anyways) back pain slight to extreme swollen legs / feet absent minded / extremely forgetful / difficult concentrating / tasks that were second nature all of a sudden requiring more thought / mistakes on work tasks that never happen pneumonia that I had has also been attributed to the attack. I had extreme off and on nausea. I was actually getting sick from it at times. One such incident allowed for some of to get in my lungs which then in turn started the pneumonia as a foreign fluid in the lung (sorry for the visual there) ALL of these symptoms were easily explained away by me. Working long shifts, lots of work changes with a computer conversion creating escalated stress, escrow on new home, heat, more than norm physical activity, humidity etc etc etc
