I want to sincerely apologize to the fans of IRONMILL and USSC for the low attendance ofthe 2014 season. You CANNOT be outspoken like myself and others have been and not take full responsibility for the results no matter what they are. I am here stating proudly what we have accomplished thus far with USSC and its mission statement is something that remains in the forefront of my every waking moment to improve upon and constantly add quality to. That being said. Pennsylvanias Strongest Man is NOT cancelled but merely I cannot in good conscience accept any money from paying competitors for sub divided classes and sub par promotion from what theyve come to expect from IRONMILL and USSC. What we are offering is the biggest FREE strongman exhibition this side of the country for any strongman that can pass our 90 day clean drug test policy and wants to lay it on the line Infront of massive and energetic crowds on a grand stage. PA Strong WILL continue on as advertised and to no cost to any athlete. I want to offer a word as to why competitor numbers are low. In no certain order I give you that candid list. 1. The USSC drug policy. I dont think people are ready for reform on the scale we are trying to implement. I adhere to a saying. Money talks. And so that will be my promise for the 2015 season. Prize money. Grand venues along with sponsors will be enough to change the sport. Not infighting with NAS . USS or any other strength promotions. Every single athlete. Official. And owner will be subject to testing policies of USSC. 2. Relying on past success to gauge future success. We got very used to succeeding as a company/gym/promotion. Weve had some major success early this year and my big ego coupled with the timing of delewares strongest man the week before and the unsanctioned womens show the day after left us in a position Im not quite used to - Jockeying for attention. Ball dropped on steadfast and innovative promotion on our part. You CANNOT (like everyone ) rely on social media and redundant posting to secure athletes. I promise you. Next time. We will have the signed sealed and delivered goods to MAKE you want to be a part of it. 3. Moving IRONMILL. Buying a house and 20 business endeavors. Re organizing USSC and Splitting with my business partner and fiancé amanda (we still talk and interact almost daily) along with being very free with my opinions has left uncertainty amongst the community. Marry that to the outright fact I do things my way and most people cant handle that we have this concoction of confusion and mis step and uncertain future. And I cant blame you. And want to sincerely apologize for not being able to put on 150 ppl shows at the Fn awesome venues we keep procuring. It frustrates the hell out of ME not being able to offer that! Consumes me. Eats at me. Its leading to very hard decisions. But ones Im confident are better for the future. I have two final things to say. The first being I am never going to stop. My dedication to the sport may not be known to the new un impressed breed of strongman and women but if youve ever done a LOU COSTA show you know that I work harder than anyone for the athletes and ALWAYS provide top notch promotion. The USSC is a big broad idea and will take time. More time than I initially and very wrongly estimated. To the MANY supporters that have stood by and not ran like cowards. You simply will not be disappointed or be made to feel embarrassed of that loyalty. Your support has kept me going through very hard times and made me Strong. Resilient and unwavering in the process. My last point concerns the effort you all have put it. Th family vacation days. The travel. The planning. The training for our contest that has taken up your thought process and work breaks and internet searches. The food expense to grow your body and the stress that leads up to a show. This type of weak output from me is not acceptable to that type dedication from you. And that is why we are stepping back and looking very closely at what we need to do to increase attendance of USSC for 2015 That being said: I invite ANY athlete to come out to York pa this weekend ( weather permitting ) and join in the coalition for FREE ... Our coalition. We are a brother and sisterhood that knows you as the athletes. Hell I know most of your kids and have drank with Almost all of you! I invite you to our grand stage to take part in the sport the way it was meant to be. Infront of great crowds. With amped up judges and fellow competitors. Next to giant elephants and pig races. This crowd loves you strong guys! The finale fire truck is set down the main drag of the strip per everyear. And it gets exciting! We want you involved. At no cost to you. Infact: I will never promote another show that does not offer prize money. Hotel accommodations and FREE entries. You absolutely read that right. Not one more show at the cost of the athletes. A solid business does NOT make the entertainment (you guys) pay as well as the venues and sponsors because they love the sport. I refuse to ever make a middle class family pay again to come do a show that we as an organized promotion get paid to do. Big talk. I know. Watch me make good on this! It can be done. It will be done. Its my word Im going to show you the future of STENGTH sports. Thank you all for sticking by.
