I want to speak about gossip-mongers, who are all dressed up in thier judgmental robes, who cant wait to share that juicy morsel. Before speaking, they need to ask themselves the following questions: What good is done for anyone if I share this morsel? Am I showing the love spoken of in I Cor 13? How would Jesus respond to that person? Would He cast stones? Have you walked a mile in their shoes? What have you done to encourage the one you are judging? If I sound harsh... I feel harsh! People want to ban guns for the damage they do... maybe they ought to be looking into what they can do to ban wagging tongues. I have literally seen people killed spiritually by wagging tongues. So why am I on my rant? Because I am tired of seeing wounded, often misunderstood Christians - Christians who have made mistakes - killed by the tongues of those who should be wooing them back with the love of Christ. So, if you hear a rumor... tell them to peddle their garbage elsewhere... You see a bro/sis. struggling... go to them in love - after taking the plank out of your own eye... And finally, dont be so quick to believe the worst... You may not have the full story. And dont judge the judgers either. Let us forgive as Christ has forgiven us and remember that they will know we are Christians by our love.
