Through cars and music, you have impacted millions of people around the world. You have known prosperity in the past and you will again in the future. When I look at the the lack of leadership, I do not see the heritage and tradition and history of the American Dream. Some of your leaders have not represented you well. But, you are a strong and proud people......a melting pot. It is time for you, the people, to roll up your sleeves and get busy in nearby churches, neighborhoods, cities and counties. You have a legacy to create and your current status is not the end of the end. It is simply the place for you to begin. You have a marvelous chance to re-write your future. By acting now, changing your speech and some of your actions, you can rebound quickly and become stronger than ever. Be encouraged. I believe if you, the citizens, will rise up and provide leadership and solutions......the world will once again see a people full of creativity and resolve. If you begin now, other individuals, entrepreneurs, cities, states and businesses will join your efforts. Where are the leaders for such a time as this? Is it you? Are you part of the solution? I believe you are. Your opportunity is bright and the impact from your involvement can be significant....for yourself and many others. Detroit, It is your time to shine."
