I want to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone who came together to make Devins benefit such a HUGE success! Thank you to our NORTH TEXAS TRINITY COWBOY CHURCH family, we are beyond blessed to have you!! To everyone that worked so hard to put it all together, to everyone that came out to show their support, to the barrel racers who ran in honor of Devin, to everyone involved THANK YOU! I just cant say it enough! Because of all of the support we have received we can focus all of our attention on Devin. We were so worried about finances since insurance doesnt even come close to covering all of her medical expenses and medications. I used all of my vacation time when I took off work when Jason was in the hospital so living expenses have been at the forefront of my constant increasing stress level. But thanks to our incredible group of supporters those are stresses that have now been taken care of! I want to apologize for taking so long to post an update. To be completely honest I have been having a really hard time with things. Just having to see Devin struggle so hard and then hearing some petty comments that have been made about our situation has had me very down. I know better than to let things get to me, its all in Gods hands, He has this, I just need to let him lead! There was a day that Devin was not doing good and I was SCARED to death! I went to my room at the Ronald McDonald House, dropped to my knees and BEGGED The Lord not to take my little girl! I just knew it was in his plan to take her because you just dont get better once you reach the point she had! AGAIN, there is power in prayer!! She was released from the hospital on her 18th birthday. She is still not doing well, but she is still with us and she is still fighting! She still finds the strength to smile even though her little body is exhausted, weak and filled with never ending pain. She is the strongest person I know and her will to get through this continues to be inspirational!
