I want to take a moment to recognize some wonderful people here in our community loving and helping one another. Trent Lord is an outstanding young man here in Panama City who was born with a rare genetic syndrome. Not much is known medically about his condition, but what we do know is that Trent has been blessed with the ability to only see the good in others. In return, he also has the gift of only showing goodness and love to those around him. Hell be turning 16 soon, but realizing that it isnt likely that hell have the ability to drive a car in the near future, his mother, April Lord, had mentioned to a neighbor that shed been praying to somehow find a way to get a golf cart for Trent to drive around their neighborhood. That conversation planted a seed, and from that grew a scenario that involved several wonderful people who came together and gifted Trent, an avid FSU fan, with a golf cart of his very own! Jay Pitts, a family friend, neighbor and all-around great guy, organized the plan and approached the owners of E-Z Ride, who very generously donated the cart and charged way below cost for parts and labor. Then there were others who donated items such as the batteries and an incredibly talented man who personalized the cart and did all of the FSU art work. (It looks amazing, yall!) This precious young man has touched so many hearts, and all of the wonderful people who came together to bless him with this awesome gift have touched all of our hearts here at WPAP! This is the kind of news that I love and am happy to share- People loving and helping people! Our hearts are full this morning with love for Trent Lord and for all of those who love him, too! -Dr. Shane
