I want to tell you about a Park in Houston, Tx called Melrose Park. Melrose Park Neglected Dogs It is notorious for people dumping dogs. There have already been over 80 dogs saved from there. But as many as have been saved, there have been that many dumped off.... it is a revolving door of dogs being dumped. The worse part is that it is directly across from the Harris County Animal Control Shelter in Houston, which has an 80% kill rate. We need help. There are a group of us that are determined to help the poor souls in this park but it is very hard without fosters or adopters to take them in. So we keep going and feeding and watering to make sure they are ok. We post them on fb everyday and plea for fosters so we can pick them up and get them vetted and into homes otherwise we have to leave them behind. This is the same Park that my friend BooBoo was saved from and found in such horrible shape with a bullet in his shoulder and a broken leg and full of scars and infections. Last weekend my friend went to feed the dogs at the park and witnessed a 3 month old puppy starving that he was eating a dead cat. There has been a fb page created for these neglected Melrose Park Dogs and there you can find the posts of dogs we are trying to find fosters and adopters for. There are also Amazon wish lists for the dogs that have been saved to help out their new foster parents.
