I want to thank all the people that have embraced the Ice Bucket Challenge, in the odd way it supports ALS Research and Awareness. My wife would not approve as she would think it was silly and Irresponsible during a drought. But she would be laughing at all the videos on the net. I do not challenge anyone or ask for donations, spending 10 years dealing with all the sadness and difficulty. The only thing I hope for is for everyone to look and learn beyond the buckets and Ice. This is something that has no diagnostic tests. No effective treatments. And is a death sentence for 90% in 3-5 years after they figure out you have it. This is not likely to be resolved soon, but this is the greatest wave of support and awareness since it struck down one of the Greatest Baseball Players ever(Lou Gehrig). Actually two, if you count Hall of Fame Pitcher; Jim “Catfish” Hunter. Actors, David Niven, Lane Smith, and Vice President; Henry A. Wallace. But nobody remembers Vice Presidents.
