I want to thank everyone for all of your prayers--they mean the world to me. I was sprung from the hospital this evening, and I am doing much better. Here is the details of my little ordeal-- I have been suffering with an upper respiratory infection for almost two weeks, but over this past weekend it got extremely worse--I couldnt get my breath, I was so congested that I couldnt talk, and I felt horrible. So, Monday morning I drove myself to the CVS minute clinic--I chose that because it was closer to my home than my regular doctor, and it turns out I made the right decision. I was diagnosed with a fever of 102.3 and possible pneumonia, and was sent to the ER. I spent the remainder of the day in a trauma room taking breathing treatments, steroid treatments, oxygen, and an assortment of injections that I am not even sure what it all was. By the end of the day they had decided to send me home--my check xray was clear and my fever was broken and I was breathing easier. The doctor had released me and I thought all was well, until they decided to walk me down the hall to check my oxygen level--MAJOR FAIL! So they hooked me back up to everything and rolled me into a room. I took oxygen, breathing treatments, etc throughout the night and was feeling lots better than before, so they let me come home, but with one little problem--they did a contrast CT scan that showed a small spot on the lower left lobe of my lungs. They are not completely sure of what it is at this time, as it was not even visible on the xray, so they are treating it as pneumonia to be on the safe side. So Im at home resting with some killer meds, return for another xray next week, and another CT scan in 4 to 6 weeks to see if the spot and grown, shrank, or hopefully gone away entirely. So, until then, I am on the mend. I appreciate all of your get well wishes and prayers--I am blessed with dear friends and family that truly care, and you cant put a price tag on that--even at hospital rates! Love you all!
