I want to thank everyone for all the hard work that went into MKR - TopicsExpress

I want to thank everyone for all the hard work that went into MKR this season. We had 3.7 million people in Oz watch last nights grand final. The contestants and the crew work so hard to make it a such a success and I want to thank them all. I would also like to thank all the viewers at home as I firmly believe that the success of tv shows like My Kitchen Rules and MasterChef Australia are planting the seeds of change for the next generation. The children watching these shows have awareness of so many types of ingredients and cuisines and techniques, and I cannot wait to see how this awareness will shape the way we eat in the future. These children, when they grow up, will demand to know where their food comes from (non gmo,)how it is produced (organic,) is it sustainable and how have the animals been raised, and my favourite is, I am sure they will ask how does it effect us nutritonally. As Michael Pollan says the first step to being healthy is to cook your own food and this is what these shows promote and I am proud to be associated with this exciting time in Australian TV history. Now as you know i follow a paleo inspired diet and constantly asked how do I go with the food on the show. It makes up 1% to 2% of my overall diet for the year and the other 98% or so is chosen mindfully. Contrary to what some magazines have written, I will be back for another series of MKR and my new paleo tv series will also be aired on Channel 7. Thank you once again and now it is over to Masterchef to keep those culinary juices flowing and to keep planting the seeds. Cheers Pete and congrats Bree and Jessica.
