I want to thank everyone for their hard work and support on the bowling fundraiser last night. We had a huge turn out. The official count was 163 bowlers. We had 40+ baskets. The bowlers seemed to have a great time. Our team parents seemed to have a great time. The bar made a killing. We didnt run out of beer. There were no fights, arguments or drunken incidents. The 53 card raffle worked out well. The 50/50 brought in $311 (the winner tipped us $35). Lucky strike brought in $111. The rough count on raffle basket ticket sales last night was $2000. I tried my best to personally thank each individual bowler for coming out. I started at lane 1 and worked my way down to lane 32 - but was pulled away several times to handle different things and put out fires. I know I missed a few people and I feel bad about it. I know it may have seem cheesy to some people but I am old school. I believe people that take time out of their busy lives and spend money supporting us need to be told face to face that they are appreciated. We had a few hiccups during the event but for the most part, I believe it went fairly smooth when you consider the number of people we were dealing with. This was the second biggest fundraisers Belmar II ever hosted. Cheryl will be calculating the numbers today. Its a bit complicated because we started collecting sponsor money and bowling money several weeks ago. I turned in $2000 in money that I collected at practice this week this morning.
