I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers for the loss of my Daddy. Each and every one of you helped me stay strong through this terrible, tragic period in my life. My Daddy was my life. When it was summer and I was little I would stand on our diving board around the time hed be driving down the alley by our fence and I would yell, Look Dad, Look Dad! so I could show him my flip off the board and see him smile or just to watch him run on the cement and jump in the water and go, Yikes! He always told me never to look or be around him while he was welding but I would squint, ha, that was his nickname because of his squinty eyes, just to watch my brave Daddy doing something that I thought was so marvelous. I found out later why Daddy and Mom told me not to get close to the welding when he came home after he singed his eyebrows off! My love of music came from my Daddy and Mom. They didnt care if it were school nights. Theyd crack up the hifi, put some powder down on the carpet runner and dance the night away not knowing I was on one of the top steps to my bedroom watching them the whole time. When I was little I would stand on my Daddys shoes and dance. All 3 of us would travel everywhere just to go to dances. My Daddy taught me to smile and treat strangers as equals but if theyve done you wrong to keep your eye on them. He also taught me if someone hurts you, you hurt them back worse so they know not to mess with you (I guess you cant teach your kids that anymore or the law will be on you... but I still think its darn good advice :) He gave me my awesome sense of humor but there were often many times I heard, OK Punk, Thats Enough! He may have started calling others Punk which I told him I wish he wouldnt because he came up with that name just for me. Jealous you ask? Youre darn right! Craig told me hes never seen a family laugh and have so much fun talking about farts and poop. I told him its a GLASER thing😄 Daddy gave me some wonderful advice. He told me to live my life as a business. He was a wise man My Daddy. He called me and him a TEAM and a few days before he passed called me his PAL! He and Mom raised us to love The Ohio State Buckeyes. They had season tickets for well over 50 years and I was ever so blessed to go to an awful lot of them. The Skull Sessions were so breath taking and from just being there with my Mom and Daddy listening to Our Band then Our Players would come out... Id have to fight back the tears. When Daddy was done working at the plastic tile plant I would look out through the window and wave like crazy hoping hed stop in for a visit. Mom and Daddy had 7 children and when he passed we counted up between grands, greats and great greats there are 107 and 2 on the way! We are a blessed family! I always called my Mom every single day for advice or just to hear her voice and after she passed I still found myself naturally doing it but then turned to my Daddy. If I wasnt watching The Game with him wed call each other after each and every touchdown but now I dont have my Daddy to celebrate with, but knowing that Daddys able to stand up straight again, with no pain dancing with his one and only true love, my Mom and is able to see my big brother Phillip, who I miss sooooo immensely and Daddys with Grandpa and Grandma DeWeese, Jennifer, Eric, Dr Miller and Grandpa and Grandma Glaser brings warmth to my heart. Every time I hear the tune, For Me And My Gal, Big Band and Hawaiian music plus every Ohio State game Ill be thinking of my Daddy and Mom dancing until The Games on. I LOVE YOU DADDY🙏💞
