I want to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed are old fashioned carnival at Leivasy Peoples Place and everyone that helped in any way. There were so many people. I was so amazed. My mom would have been so happy to see what we accomplished. Happy children, smiling faces, wonderful food, perfect weather and great friends. We will try to make this an annual event. We need to keep our small community alive. I want to give special thanks to our board members and their families that helped: DaBeast Kelly, Dawna Griffith, Retha Hinton, Dwila Dorsey, Stephanie ODell Wismer, Ferrell Griffith, Amber Griffith Amick, Megan Hinton Miller, Lois Lovejoy Sears, Wayne Sears, Courtenay Sears Smith, Steve Hinton, Jerry Dorsey. I want to give special thanks to my good friends and their families who always jump in when I need them: Amy Hall Hammons, Crystal Swartz-Bailes, Chelsey Bailes, Leta Flanagan Berry, Richie Hammons, and Kendra. Thanks to everyone who donated cakes: Debbie Russell Bailes, Elizabeth Ruckman, Darlene Nottingham Jones and others. Thanks to our apple butter and apple cider making crews. Amazing job. What a wonderful day it was, and I feel blessed that I was a part of it. We used to have these carnivals when I was growing up. It is great to share with our friends and families the fun times we used to have it these events.
