I want to thank everyone who has expressed their sincere messages regarding my fathers sudden death. I have been so moved by the support that I have received. I found this email from my father from 2008 and it sums up my feeling towards him and what he taught me most that no matter what family is the most important gift that a parent can give their children. Sons and Daughters, I want to reiterate to each of you, and to your spouses and significant others, how very much I appreciate the party you organized for your mother on her 70th birthday. It was very moving to me to see the personal efforts made by each of you by attending to every detail in planning and executing the affair. The food, the photographer, the mariachi musicians, the photo CD, the drinks, your financial contributions, all and every thing that went into a memorable party is worthy of my deepest gratitude and appreciation. It was especially beautiful to me that the party was a FAMILY affair and done at our own home; sadly, only my brother and our deceased family could not be present. I shall repeat, others may have lavish affairs to celebrate special dates or occasions, but none could have been as intimate and done with as much love and caring as the party for your mother.
