I want to thank everyone who helped me today by sending photos, videos and information. I also want to apologize for not being able to use or post all of your great images, and for not immediately responding to messages, questions or comments tonight. I was on a mini-vacation with my family when I first learned of the fire on Taylor Mountain and was more than two hours away. Once I returned to Roosevelt, I had a limited amount of time to put together a story for 10 p.m. and had to focus on that or risk missing my deadline. I believe that we live in a great state and a great community where people regularly come to the aid of others in big ways and small ways. Those of you who send me news tips, photos and other information make it easier for me to keep my finger on the pulse of whats happening in our area and keep the community informed.
