I want to thank everyone who planned, built, played, loved and came up afterward to me and Nerdy City to talk about Pacific Rim: Rise of Tiburon. Im still getting tears of joy every time I think about each and every one of you and your stories. Sean, you are a massive pain in my ass, but also my brother and my best friend, my partner in crime and the other half of my brain. Paige, Im so wifing the crap out of you. Seeing you in action, planning, creating and transporting everything that made our game have a real and palpable world was humbling and filled me with such joy. You pulled off a truly Herculean effort, but dont take my word for it. 75+ people have my back on this one. Megan, you are now the official queen of all the Boggans. For life. None may dispute you on this. Miles it was a serious and distinct honor to work with you on this project. You are nothing short of a genius, and I do not take that word lightly. (And no, that isnt some cute Apple Store joke). Your characters and mods are so exciting while still completely plausible, and more than any single idea, your certification system was nothing short of complete brilliance. Seriously, any of you who played and had fun owe it Miles. Maggie again, characters and mods and RP thats just unrivaled saved for a scant few. Its clear why you and Miles are a couple as both of you are so damned hard pressed to find equals its beyond serendipitous that the two of you ever found each other in the first place. Ian writing champion, organizational superstar and a warm personality that kept us all together much like how the sun keeps our solar system aligned. Ian made the flat circle that allowed your characters to not exist in a vacuum. Ricardo. O captain, my captain. I know you feel humbled to work with us. But it was we who are humbled by your compliments, enthusiasm and beneficence. Wright you are such a bright and jovial soul its almost unfair that you get to be so smart, talented and just damned good looking to boot. Ralph, youre an asshole. But an unbelievably talented one. But mostly an asshole. Because you told me say that. Bethan you are the glue. You held us together, as much as individuals and as a group. You stepped up when Paige needed you most, and you came through and then some. She and I both appreciate that more than we can say. Taylor you took what could have easily been the weakest part of the game and made it the most fun. You are the very best definition of a LARPer and an even better guy I just love to get to hang out with. Anthony, Alex, Schuyler, Adam, Thomas, Kitt, Jeramy and everyone who helped build, paint, move, schlep or feed us. Im honored to be worthy of your support. Lastly and far from leastly, I must thank all of you who played our game and made it a real living and breathing thing. At some point Ill be able to think about it without getting all vaklempt, but today is not that day. Please keep telling me your stories, your thoughts, your favorites and your feedback. You all truly made it worth all the blood, sweat and tears. Thank you so much everyone for this weekend, easily one if the greatest Ive ever had.
