I want to thank my Love, Rosalind for a wonderful day. We had coffee and tea in bed when we woke up. Roz made my favourite tea, Mighty leaf, Ginger twist with a lemon cut in quarter squeezed in the pot with some honey. She gave me a box of my favourite chocolates, Australian ginger dark chocolates from Hot Chocolates. She made me a wonderful brunch; two kinds of sausage (roasted Portobello mushroom and Shallots (the best of the two) and Grainy Mustard with Honey), fried bell peppers, onions and portobello mushrooms. She also made roasted new nuggets potatoes tossed with olive oil, dried Thyme and Oregano (truly wonderful) with perfectly toasted sourdough bread. The best breakfast/ brunch in a long time. We had a light lunch of watermelon, cherries and plums. A wonderful relaxing day together. I wanted to give Prime Chophouse one last try in my quest for good restaurant Ribs and Wings. We had tried both the frozen Margaritas, the berry and the mango/lime which was the better. For an appie we had the Szechuan chicken wing which were very good but worked out to about a buck a wing. I would paid $.50 those wings but a buck each? I remembering fondly getting 90 wings for $9, the price of wings has gone insane. For mains Roz had the mushroom Fajitas which were quite good and reasonably price at $14 bucks. I had the baby ribs with BBQ sauce, $28. The ribs where nicely cooked, at the edge of fall off the bone. The BBQ sauce was tasty without being overpowering. The rack however was too small for the price. I asked for no baked beans. The roasted veggie was carrot (big carrots but ok), broccoli and zucchini which neither of us tried. I got a lot of French fries. They were tasty but not crispy. Wish the ribs was not placed on the fries. Chocolate cake for dessert very tasty but too much icing. It was comparably priced to other restaurants. I very much enjoyed the meal other than the price. They fixed their plates, they are flat and you can cut a steak on it unlike last years. We were happy with the flavour but the not price. Because of the price we are unlikely to back unless the restaurant changes. After we had some wonderful wine at home and watched Johnny and Stephen on the couch. Thank you my Love
