I want to thank the Hudson Valley Council BSA Community Band for the outstanding performances on Saturday at the East Fishkill Community Day celebration and on Sunday for the Town of Wappinger Community Day celebration. On both days the Saints and Sinners Dixieland Band ( part of our concert band) gave flawless performances and made the crowd swell before the whole band joined in for our concert band portion of the show. It is very gratifying that our band can lift the hearts of our community with patriotic and popular pieces that our audiences enjoy. Especially noted were the pieces God Bless the USA and God Bless America. Thank you Jenn Haight Prophe for your singing as Kate Smith would have sung God Bless America. It was an honor to conduct the band for these ceremonies and to play trumpet with the Saints and Sinners Dixieland band. thank you band !
