I want to write an op-ed letter to the NY Times to express my anger and dismay at the inhumanity - the uncaring attitude of lawmakers who do not give a f-ck about people who need their unemployment extensions to live-to pay rent- to pay for medications - to eat - to pay for the barest necessities. I could scream and cry simultaneously! What is wrong with people who enact laws to give away billions for defense, for foreign interventions, etc. and then wont allocate a piddling amount to their own citizens who are sinking deeper into the abyss of poverty and the psychology of despair. NO they are not folk who are just lazily sitting around! NO they are not free loaders!
