I want you to know dad that I love you. I know that we have had our struggles but God has brought us full circle and I want you to know how grateful I am that you never really gave up on me, even when you really wanted to. Everything I know about the love of God I know because of you. That no matter how much of a screw up I was you never stopped loving me. That you waited patiently for me to come around. And I finally did. I am the man I am today because of you. You have taught me to be practical in my actions and not to be led by my emotions. Its what makes me an effective leader and allows me to do the work that I do. You taught me to love unconditionally. That no matter what my own kids do, no matter how bad they screw up to love them anyway with all my heart. The way that God loves each of us. You taught me to be a husband and a father and while Im far from perfect at it, Im doing a lot better. You gave me an appreciation for the finer things and while I may have champagne taste on a coca cola budget it has taught me to truly appreciate things and to enjoy them when I can. Im sorry it had to be the hard way with me and that I put you and mom through hell at times but I promise to use all those hard times to try and help others. To minister from experience in brokenness as one who has been made whole again. I love you dad and I am grateful for your never ending grace and mercy.
