I want you to know the face of the leaders of Troop 98 and Pack 98. Major props to Assistant Scoutmaster Adrian Cowan a.k.a Adrian Apollo. Co-founder and leader, who grew up in an inner-city troop in Flint, Michigan and against great odds and discrimination became the second proud black Eagle Scout in his town. Cubmaster Truong Nguyen (Stay Troung!) who was born in the beutiful city of Hue in Vietname. Hes new to Scouting but not new to knowing exactly what cubs need to grow to make the Pack go. He and Adrian are the true founders of Pack 98--I kept saying no, were not ready for Cubs too but they insisted and bossed me into it. Props to Assistant Scoutmaster Andrew Vose, new to Seattle, but an Eagle Scout with serious camping cred. And our very own Old Man of the Troop and Committee Chair, Donovan Obrien. Keeping it real in scouting for decades, and helping kick start yet another troop. You havent had Dutch Oven cooking until youve tried his. These guys are leading our youth into the next generation. And are incredibly supported by the capable hands of our Pastor and Charter Organization head the Reverend Dr. Monica Corsaro. There are many more working in our church and our neighborhood to ensure a safe and solid program for our youth. I want you to know them all.
